Rimontgó features in Irish Sunday Times Manhattan property feature

Rimontgó has, yet again, been featured in a leading English-language newspaper.

Siobhan Maguire of The Irish Sunday Times interviewed Rimontgó’s Cristina Martinez with the intention of discovering recent trends among purchasers of New York real estate.

Emphasising the previous popularity of the Big Apple with Irish professionals, especially during the period 2006 to 2007, Cristina noted that the downturn caused by the international credit crisis has now been succeeded by a cautious increase in activity over the past few months.

It has also been noted that, due to the enormous number of New York City residents who are of Irish extraction, the city has retained its popularity with the Irish population, although these new buyers are more likely to be immigrants who are either already resident or have moved there to take up employment.

Rimontgó also featured in the desirable properties section, in the shape of the penthouse situated at 173 Perry Street. This extraordinary property’s main selling point is the spectacular views it offers residents of some of the city’s most iconic landmarks, including the Statue of Liberty and Hudson Park.

Designed by Richard Meier, a long-term resident of NYC and member of the New York Five (a group of renowned local architects, which includes such illustrious names as Peter Eisenman, Michael Graves, Charles Gwathmey, John Hejduk and Meier himself), the building at 173 Perry Street is widely acknowledged to be one of Manhattan’s most exciting contemporary landmarks and residents include Calvin Klein and Nicole Kidman.

Maguire concluded that New York’s resilience, so much in evidence in the aftermath of the destruction of the World Trade Center in 2001, will also be seen in the property market, as confidence returns and prices bounce back to their pre-economic crash levels. Now is still a good time to buy.

Rimontgó has a number of properties for sale in New York:

Outstanding luxury triplex in the fashionable Tribeca district

Penthouse in Midtown West

Spacious family apartment in the Upper West Side area
